Notre Dame
So, I'm getting extreme pressure from my tech friends to "blog". I guess if I'm not real savvy this is better than texting, twittering or tweeting.
To start , first class on British Air was fabulous. It seemed like we were on a high speed train rather than flying. We had a lay-over over in London's Heathrow airport where we had access to a lounge with free food, internet, showers, drinks- live Wimbledon. Life was rough. Then...
After we landed in Paris, the real adventure began. Upon picking up our luggage, I noticed Yo Yo was quite bent over and a total dork pulling her luggage so- I took over to save the day. Problem was , the handle broke on our cheap purchase. Now I really am a dork trying to pull a broken handled suitcase with a flat rubber tire compliments of our chewy puppy- Teddy. After getting on a crowded train that was 107 degree's, we made it up 16 flights or stairs when my second suitcase handle broke. Welcome to Paris!! Now I truly am the hunchback of Notre-Dame. Talk about the ugly American! Alas we made it with only 4 hours sleep in 36 hours. Our feet hurt but hey- we are in Paris!
Dinner in Paris
Wow -
Dinner on the streets of Paris - best meal EVER. We dined for 3 1/2 hours at a side walk restaurant that was charming and fantastic. Tammy, Lisa, Sandy and I took a stroll several blocks from our hotel to this much recommended local hangout. Our server moe was delightful, spoke very little English but tried to help - we couldn't read a thing on the menu ...... always pretty to mimic a chicken, cow, pig to get your point across :) Eventually she did an aha and said - woman chicken!! We just returned to the room it is 1 am here that it makes it 4 in the afternoon where you all are.......... the Louvre today was incredible and we got our first glimpse of the Eiffel tower in the distance. Paris has charmed me - it is truly magical!
More tomorrow!!!!
First Full Day in Paris...OMG!
Well, I should say first 3/4 quarters of a day. Weslept in of course...until 11...missed breakfast. Hey, we're on vacation! Anyway, met up with the girls at this very cool plaza, had a bite to eat and wine of course and then off the Louvre. Make sure you pronounce right :-) . Actually we caught a glimpse but we did see Miss Mona and Miss Venus, what a sight and the Louvre itself, what can I say. Walked back to our hood, stopped to re-hydrate and now we're gearing up for a fabulous dinner.

We made it to the hotel...
It became an epic trip from the airport to the train and walking to the hotel after both of Yoyo's suitcases broke! I am sure sandy will report more.
